"Help me! Help me!" - Rite Aid vs CVS

Which store has the better deal for John Frieda shampoo - Rite Aid or CVS?

The Rite Aid Deal: Get $10 +Up Rewards when you buy 4 hair care products at $5 each.

Buy 4 hair care products - 4 x $5 = $20
Subtract the following -

  • Rite Aid Store Coupon $5 off $20 purchase

  • Rite Aid Hair Care Coupon $1 off $10 purchase

  • Four (4) $3 manufacturer coupons (SS 6/6)

Final Cost = $2 (excluding tax)

Get $10 +Up Reward good on your next purchase

(Rite Aid will allow this deal unlimited times, in separate transactions, starting Sunday 6/27 and ending Saturday 7/3.)

The CVS Deal: Get $3 ECB when you buy 2 hair care products at $5 each. This can be done 5 times.

Buy 4 hair care products - 4 x $5 = $20
Subtract the following -

  • CVS Store Coupon $4 off $20 purchase

  • Four (4) $3 manufacturer coupons (SS 6/6)

Final Cost = $4 (excluding tax)

Get $6 ECB good on your next purchase

(CVS will allow this deal - buy 2 products/$3 ECB - a total of 5 times, starting Sunday 6/27 through the end of July. The above scenerio just used up 2 of the 5.)

Which deal is best? It depends on how many manufacturer coupons you have, which store coupons you have, AND if the product is in stock (which is probably the biggest obstacle).

There are other coupons available such as a $3/2 internet print and $2/1 manufacturer coupon.

Just to show that the Rite Aid deal works, here is my receipt from today.

Good luck and have fun shopping!!
